How to create a stronger list (one that raves about you and buys from you)

October 10, 2014

Have you ever had a day, a week or a month when you simply did NOT want to send out an email newsletter?

Maybe you even felt frustrated that your newsletter subscribers are not converting into paying clients?

Or confused why your open rate is so low?

I get that. I really do.

Starring at a blank screen trying desperately to figure out what to write is No. Fun. At. All.

Yet, your business is entirely about your email newsletter – because your business is entirely about shaping relationships.

In order to shape and strengthen relationships – consistent communication is key.

If I can credit one tactic to taking your business to the next level, it would be sending out a consistent newsletter.

Not monthly.
Not bi-weekly.

Weekly.

I firmly believe consistency is everything. And as a highly sensitive coach, consistency does not always come easily to us.

When I first started health coaching I tried to send out monthly newsletters and totally failed.

Then I shifted to bi-weekly email newsletters and still stunk big time.

It was when I shifted to weekly that everything became easier.

The big secret that makes weekly newsletter easy (and fun)? Plan ahead by creating an editorial calendar.

I literally sit down every quarter and map out the topics – so my entire year is planned out.  (Yes, yes I’m one of those people who actually loves all this planning stuff!)

Solid organization and planning is key for highly sensitive coaches.

And know this – there is nothing extra special about an email newsletter. It doesn’t matter what platform you pick or what the design looks like.

You don’t always have to include a recipe.

Just choose a service, share awesome content and do it consistently!

Big Hugs,
Lisa
